Summary/Objective:

The Director of Supply Planning and Inventory Management for Gellert Global Group’s operating companies will be responsible for leading a diverse team of supply chain professionals to support the overall supply chain strategy of maximizing service levels while minimizing sourcing and inventory related costs on a $1.4 billion dollar portfolio. The position reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain and will be a critical leader within our organization, helping us live by our values to drive impact by building a scalable, cost saving and data centric supply planning team.

Essential Functions:

Lead a supply chain team consisting of multiple managers, supply planners, coordinators, and inventory analysts to meet specific KPI’s focused on fill rates, inventory levels, cost/profitability, spoils as well as aging and dead stock
Manage yearly purchase and inventory plan and adjust to meet business needs while also driving internal alignment within the team
Collaborate with Demand Planning, Sales, Operations & Business Development to drive service level improvements while minimizing operational cost and maximizing inventory utility
Partner with Business Development teams to promote good vendor relationships and high performance. Will require managing purchasing and supplier statistics
Analyze current inventories and procedures; continuously evaluate opportunities to increase the efficiency of our supply chain and the profitability of the company
Champion the development of team members to be more effective and productive in their day-to-day activities with a focus towards better decision making through data
Work closely alongside demand planning team to ensure proper forecasts are honed in
Align with warehouse operations and logistics on stocking levels by facility and projected inbound and outbound volume

Ability to properly manage time and know when to apply a sense of urgency

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience. MBA preferred
Experience using ERP systems and MRP platforms (experience with Infor M3 highly preferred)
10+ years of supply chain or procurement experience ideally within the food industry
5 years’ experience managing teams with multiple direct reports
