Director, Supply Planning & Inventory Management
Summary/Objective:
The Director of Supply Planning and Inventory Management for Gellert Global Group’s operating companies will be responsible for leading a diverse team of supply chain professionals to support the overall supply chain strategy of maximizing service levels while minimizing sourcing and inventory related costs on a $1.4 billion dollar portfolio. The position reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain and will be a critical leader within our organization, helping us live by our values to drive impact by building a scalable, cost saving and data centric supply planning team.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a supply chain team consisting of multiple managers, supply planners, coordinators, and inventory analysts to meet specific KPI’s focused on fill rates, inventory levels, cost/profitability, spoils as well as aging and dead stock
- Manage yearly purchase and inventory plan and adjust to meet business needs while also driving internal alignment within the team
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Sales, Operations & Business Development to drive service level improvements while minimizing operational cost and maximizing inventory utility
- Partner with Business Development teams to promote good vendor relationships and high performance. Will require managing purchasing and supplier statistics
- Analyze current inventories and procedures; continuously evaluate opportunities to increase the efficiency of our supply chain and the profitability of the company
- Champion the development of team members to be more effective and productive in their day-to-day activities with a focus towards better decision making through data
- Work closely alongside demand planning team to ensure proper forecasts are honed in
- Align with warehouse operations and logistics on stocking levels by facility and projected inbound and outbound volume

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience. MBA preferred
- Experience using ERP systems and MRP platforms (experience with Infor M3 highly preferred)
- 10+ years of supply chain or procurement experience ideally within the food industry
- 5 years’ experience managing teams with multiple direct reports
