Camerican is seeking a dynamic and proactive Marketing Specialist who will develop and execute our marketing activities and events including communications, social media and marketing materials for the Sales team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design PowerPoint marketing presentations containing relevant and compelling data.
  • Produce market-specific POS upon request by sales team.
  • Develop and execute consistent messaging and content across all touch points with customers from sales decks to sell sheets, websites, and social media platforms.
  • Create external and internal communications such as the monthly crop calendar and industry market report for Camerican sourced items with coordination of our procurement team.
  • Have ownership and management of external partners (graphic designers, print vendors, etc.) throughout projects.
  • Support the team to deliver end-to-end projects; facilitate clear cross-functional communication, leading information sharing, managing timelines, coordinating meetings and day to day processes.
  • Update and maintain company website and co-owned brands.
  • Manage Company’s social media accounts, including content creation and strategy.
  • Management of and participation in Industry Trade Shows; Assist with event planning, including working with vendors, and on-site logistics.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies informed by industry marketing trends.
  • Research and analyze data and market insights on various product categories and trends.
  • Have a strong data driven approach, including the ability to use consumption data (Nielsen, Mintel, etc.), when available, to develop a robust overall go-to-market plan in order to enable the sales team to set and achieve targets.
  • Conduct local store reporting/retail store checks to understand market pricing and discover new and innovative items.
  • Create marketing and sales collateral focusing on trends and innovative items.
  • Develop and oversee an innovation plan to develop new products as well as improve upon existing products working with in-house and/or outsourced R&D; Develop and write product briefs as well as manage the innovation process.
  • In collaboration with other internal team members, manage timeline, onboarding requirements, and communication with international supplier to ensure successful product launch. 
  • Possible domestic and international travel up to 15%

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or business-related discipline
  • 5-7 years experience in a similar role within the corporate food industry
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence people, including building trust and commitment.
  • Able to function in a fast- paced environment and comfortable turning ambiguity into action
